Jason and Tatjana Brown opened Meza in spring of 2008, initially as a specialty food hop. Their dream however was to see their vision for Meza grow to what it is today…..a haven for those that love wine and artisan food.
Tatjana’s European heritage and upbringing has fueled her passion for wine, the art of cooking and hand made, quality food. She grew up eating foods made from scratch; foods that took time to prepare and that were made without preservatives. In many European cultures, meals are enjoyed at a slower pace and tastes are savored.
The idea for Meza was conceived after Tatjana and Jason’s honeymoon in Napa Valley, where food is as much of an art form as the wine produced in the region. They wanted to bring their experiences to life back home, recreating the Napa Valley lifestyle in Westerville, Ohio.
Our philosophy of wine is the same. Affordable, unique wines that are of the best quality yet attainable. There is no pretense here…drink what you enjoy. The assortment will include local Ohio wines that are a testament to the quality of the Ohio grape industry, organic wines from across the US and many imported quality wines. The Browns are proud to bring this unique wine assortment to Uptown Westerville and we hope you come in to taste some wines, and to bring some home to enjoy.
For all those who believe that food and wine are truly an experience, be sure to stop by Meza very soon.
Meza is open Tuesday – Friday, 11 am – 7 pm, and Saturdays 11 am – 5 pm.
We are located in the historic Uptown Westerville District, on State Route 3 and 270.
